Biography Michael Powell, specialises in tax and trust planning. Jersey born, Michael qualified as an English barrister in 1989 before qualifying as an English solicitor in 1992. He was previously a partner in Galsworthy & Stones, English solicitors. Michael is a member of the Jersey Taxation Society and the Society for Estate and Trust Practitioners. As a committee member of the Association of English Solicitors Practising in Jersey he represents the Association on the Jersey Finance Industry working party. Michael is the chairman of a local charity whose aim is to provide low cost accommodation through the use of Jersey’s “very own youth hostel”. Michael is a keen sportsman enjoying racket sports as well as road running. |
